Purpose of the Job / Position Summary

The Head of Digital Manufacturing COE is responsible for spearheading the digital transformation journey in alignment with Industry 4.0 principles to deliver safety, reliability, and plant availability improvements across the Group.
This pivotal role focuses on automating manufacturing processes and harnessing AI to optimize use cases. The core responsibilities include developing and executing digital improvement opportunities across company assets, enhancing data and processes in the Asset Management system, and implementing global digital manufacturing processes. This position is integral to the modernization of Fertiglobe manufacturing systems and processes, shaping the future direction and vision for IT leadership within global transformation projects.

This role operates within a complex manufacturing landscape requiring a seamless integration of digital technologies to optimize efficiency and productivity. The Head of Digital Manufacturing COE will navigate this complexity, balancing the demands of traditional manufacturing with cutting-edge digital solutions. This hybrid role necessitates a deep understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes, industry standards like Industry 4.0, and proficiency in ERP transformations, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), and digitization. The role demands strategic foresight, robust leadership, and a commitment to driving sustainable digital innovation across a diverse and dynamic asset base.

Key Responsibilities:

Spearhead the implementation of the Digital Manufacturing Roadmap across the Group, driving transformative initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and driving business growth.
Lead the transformation initiatives related to asset management, focusing on optimizing data management practices and facilitating seamless change management processes within the context of asset management and across relevant domains such as Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE), reliability, and production.
Innovate and implement novel Manufacturing processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and standardization to streamline operations and maximize productivity. 

Serve as the primary interface between IT and Manufacturing, orchestrating cross-functional collaboration on a spectrum of initiatives spanning ERP, Automation, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Analytics, and Industry 4.0
Lead the charge in overseeing the Manufacturing facets of ERP implementation, encompassing aspects such as reliability, Manufacturing processes optimization, and plant maintenance, with a focus on ensuring alignment of KPIs and definitions throughout the organization.
Champion the implementation of transformative processes in tandem with IT and Manufacturing leadership, driving change management efforts, and ensuring seamless integration with overarching strategic objectives.
Ensure that proposed solutions meet the needs of the Manufacturing function, upholding stringent standards of quality, functionality, and overall integrity.
Act as a staunch advocate for the Manufacturing function as end-users of systems, processes, and solutions, articulating clear expectations and acceptance criteria to drive successful program outcomes.
Coordinate and optimize OpCo Manufacturing resources to synchronize with project timelines, providing robust support throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial implementation to post-implementation support and maintenance.
Spearhead cross-functional initiatives to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing between Manufacturing and other departments, fostering a culture of innovation and synergy across Fertiglobe.
Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends, proactively identifying opportunities to leverage cutting-edge solutions to drive Manufacturing excellence and competitive advantage.
Drive a culture of accountability and performance excellence within the Digital Manufacturing COE, establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Core KPIs:

Percentage improvement in manufacturing process efficiency post-digital initiatives.
Reduction in operational downtime due to digital transformation implementations.
Increase in data accuracy and integrity within the Asset Management system.
Successful implementation rate of AI-driven manufacturing use cases.
