Purpose of the Job / Position Summary:
The Tactical Buyer plays a crucial role in global procurement by managing low and medium complex sourcing events, assisting category managers in strategic sourcing, and ensuring compliance in local contract implementation. This role executes spot buys, provides valuable input on supplier performance, and actively identifies opportunities for cost savings, contributing to the efficiency and success of Fertiglobe procurement function. 

Key Responsibilities:
 Manage low and medium complex sourcing (auction) events for global procurement categories. Preparing and managing tenders and bids for small and medium-sized purchases. Understanding of documentations, evaluation criteria and supplier selection.  Assist category managers in the strategic sourcing process through executing sourcing events 

 Support business procurement with Local Contract Implementation: ensure compliance and solve issues with internal customers and suppliers

 Execute Spot buys according to procurement processes when spend amount is within authorized amount.

 Route items not on contract and exceeding the spend threshold to the Category Manager 

 Provide input on Supplier Performance to Category Managers. Generate accurate and insightful reports related to tactical buying activities, communicate key metrics and performance indicator to manager.

 Identify and capture savings opportunities 

Core KPIs:

 Tender Performance (e.g., what percentage of tenders started lead to a successful contract)

 Contract Coverage (e.g., percentage of orders covered by a contract)

 Cost savings (e.g., cost savings per unit over time)

 Sourcing cycle time (e.g., average time taken to complete sourcing cycle)

 Volume of sourcing events (e.g., amount of sourcing events completed per year) 

Knowledge & Experience:

 Bachelor's Degree preferably within Business or Engineering. Alternatively, a relevant combination of formal (procurement-related) qualifications and additional specialized studies.

 2 to 3 years’ work experience, and experience within procurement or intelligence, and/or an understanding of the purchasing area is considered an asset but is not a requirement.

 Excellent knowledge of Microsoft and relevant IT tools. Ideally previous experience in SAP S4/HANA. Knowledge in DocuSign, Sievo and/or MarketDojo is a plus.

 Excellent written and verbal Arabic and English language proficiency.
